The original company of HAKUSAN PORCELAIN is founded in 1779 in Hasami town of Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.

What is Hasami ware?

Hasami ware refers to the porcelain manufactured in Hasami town. Hasami town has a long history of porcelain production for over 400 years.

After the discovery of high-quality porcelain clay in the area, Hasami ware started to be known for simple, fine white texture with hand-drawing. While porcelain was recognized as a luxurious item at that time, many of Hasami ware was manufactured for ordinary people and the Kurawanka-wan, which means daily-use porcelain, has become widely spread.

In terms of usability, it is necessary for a soy sauce dispenser not to leak. A curved spout like an elephant trunk prevents soy sauce from dripping or leaking. By closing up the hole on the lid, you can adjust the amount of soy sauce that you want to pour.

LINEN LINE series

LINEN LINE PLATE L

The basic series for plates would be LINEN LINE. The series imitates fibers of flax, the plant for linen fabric.

LINEN LINE TEA SET

Plates of the series has a clear contrast between the white base and "linen lines." The lines are carved and have colores on them.

The series is the simplest, but functional porcelain.

The BLOOM series is also the popular line of HAKUSAN PORCELAIN. With the pattern of flowers in ultramarine, the porcelain brings brightness to your dining table.

M-TYPE TEAPOTS have three separated pots; a teapot, milk pitcher and sugar bowl. The teapots are designed in 1973 to enjoy various kinds of teas, including Japanese green tea, Chinese tea, and black tea.

Each teapot and sugar bowl has a lid, and all three pieces are stackable. The teapot has a tea strainer inside so that you can just add tea leaves and hot water, and pour directly to your cup.

SHALLOW RICE BOWL is made slightly wide, shallow shape compared to general rice bowls. After the try-and-error for about ten years, Mori made this rice bowl based on the long pursuit of usability and bringing happiness to a dining table.
