I.Ronni Kappos handmakes each piece of jewelry from a collection of vintage German beads brought together by high technology from the 1920s and 1930s.The materials and colors are from the early 20th century, and the beads used are from the same period, giving them an expressive power.She draws inspiration for much of her collection from the work of Bauhaus artists, and painters such as Klee, Kandinsky, Mondrian, and Elban are the source of her work.

■Vintage German beads (glass) Beads manufactured from the 1920s to the 1940s used materials, pigments and molds that are not available today.Trace amounts of metal were added to the glass by hand by craftsmen to bring out the color.Companies that manufactured by hand in Bohemia and other parts of the former East Germany closed their businesses shortly after World War II.In an era without computers, everything was done by hand.These expressive, nostalgic beads with deep, nostalgic colors, made by craftsmen's intuition and years of experience, are rare and valuable beads that are becoming harder to find every year.

Born in Pasadena, California and living in Los Angeles, I. Ronni Kappos, along with her twin sister Marina Kappos, was influenced by their grandmother, a painter, and from an early age developed an interest in creative pursuits such as music and art, and studied art history in college.（She studied art history in college.
