The conviction cultivated in France to bags

Mr. Shuji Mitsuda, the founder and creator of MARVELETS, was influenced by his mother, who was a couture designer, and worked as a fashion designer in Paris, France. At that time, when I happened to visit his senior designer's bag factory, I was shocked by the charm of leather and the fun of processing, which later led to the start of MARVELETS. Clothes are usually completed through the hands of many people. Bags, on the other hand, have the appeal of being able to dye the leather to the desired color and finish it by hand almost by yourself. Mr. Mitsuda was fascinated by its charm, so he moved to Okayama Prefecture where he could devote himself to making bags and started MARVELETS.

"Things that gain more depth over time" and "Things that fade and become more attached". This is Mr. Mitsuda's manufacturing concept. Europeans know that the value of things will increase as they use them carefully for a long time. Influenced by European culture, the bags designed by Mr. Mitsuda reflect a timeless yet unique sensibility.

Mr. Mitsuda undertakes all of the paper patterns, sewing, dyeing, and finishing, and all the important parts of MARVELETS bags are done by hand. In addition, we are particular about natural materials and vegetable tanning that reveals the power of nature over time, combining materials such as linen and wool in addition to leather, and finishing with original recipes. The sensibility and skill that have been nurtured over many years are exquisitely mixed to create a bag with a unique texture that gives it an antique atmosphere unique to MARVELETS.
