Buffalo have long lived in Asia. In Vietnam, the strength of buffalo horn and fufu has a history of being used as a material for daily tools. The beautiful buffalo horns and hoof accessories made by L’INDOCHINEUR are made by bringing together the high skills inherited by Vietnamese craftsmen. Moreover, it is surprising that it takes several months to create one product.

First, distinguish the quality of the horn and classify it according to the application. After natural drying, it is cut and pressed to increase its density. After cutting it again, it goes through the processes of heating, molding, and polishing, and finally becomes a product. A symbolic technique that has been around for a long time is also used for painting in the middle. Resin collected in northern Vietnam is hardened with fresh air and sunlight to form a transparent lacquer, which is then applied thinly to the product. After that, soft sanding (polishing) is applied to create a beautiful color that shines.

Charles Coutris, a Frenchman who visited Vietnam, was impressed by the extraordinary skills of the craftsmen, and started with the desire to spread their attitude towards manufacturing, craftsmanship, and rich natural materials.
