Created by the hands of a genius shoemaker

Norman Walsh chose to become a shoemaker in 1945 at the age of 14. He became an apprentice at Foster Bros. Footwear, which was run by Reebok's founder's grandfather, and immersed himself in shoe making. Norman's high level of skill, discovered by Mr. Foster, was such that he was recognized as a master craftsman, and at the age of 16, he began working on shoes for the British Olympic team. At the Olympics, Norman's shoes became known to top athletes around the world as athletes' records improved tremendously.

In 1961, Norman founded Norman Walsh Footwear. Since then, he has produced sneakers for all types of sports, including track and field, cricket, football, and rugby. In 1981, he provided shoes to a team that climbed Mount Everest. Our flexible shoes that can withstand harsh environments are recognized worldwide. The most distinctive feature of WALSH sneakers is that they are all made by hand. Everything from sewing to bottoming and packing is done at our own factory in Bolton, England, where craftsmen who have inherited Norman's craftsmanship continue to carefully create each pair to meet the needs of a variety of customers.
