Finland is known as the "Land of Forests and Lakes", and as the name suggests, it is a region full of nature. Finnish people enjoy coexisting with nature while experiencing the changing seasons, and are accustomed to living with linen, a natural material. Linen fabric can be used as bedding for large sheets or as a leisure sheet, and for small items such as towels, kitchen cloths, lunch wraps, and water-repellent wrappings for harvested wild plants. . This linen blanket OSMANKAAMI 145x200cm incorporates the rich nature of Finland into its design.
50th Anniversary
LAPUAN KANKURIT celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. A linen blanket series called "OSMANKAAMI" was created to commemorate this event. It depicts cattails swaying in the wind, reminiscent of the natural landscape of Finland. Just by unfolding one sheet, it seems that it will bring a calm time to your room like a work of art that decorates your room. OSMANKAAMI is a Finnish word meaning "cattail" that makes you feel a Finnish breeze from the cattails drawn on a piece of cloth. Cattails are a common plant in Finnish waters. Originally drawn on a tapestry in the 1970s, it was designed by the founder of LAPUAN KANKURIT and redesigned as a new linen linen for everyday use. At first glance, the pattern that looks like random lines is cute, and the soft colors complement the room.
The original design has been loved by many Finnish homes as a textile with a rustic and warm atmosphere that makes you feel close to the natural scenery. The 2020s version has been redesigned by current lead designer Elina Herenius to fit in with modern life.
Linen for daily life
When you think of linen, you have an image of it being hard and firm when you first use it, but since this blanket has been washed once after it's finished, it's very soft from the moment you start using it, as if it were your own. It is a blanket that is familiar to the skin and is gentle on the bare skin, so that the hard image of the blanket is overturned.
Bed linen is especially good. Whether it's a hot night or a chilly day, the linen blanket helps create a comfortable sleeping environment. In addition, if you put it on the sofa or chair in the living room, you can quickly put it on when you want to use it, and even if you do not use it, it will accent your interior. In addition, since linen material has excellent durability, it is useful as an item that can be used for a long time. It is also recommended to use it as a table cloth or a leisure sheet for picnics because it is easy to remove dirt and can be washed without hesitation.
Available in 4 colors. We have a variety of wonderful colors that will gently color your room and sometimes serve as an accent. A linen blanket that you can use for a long time while enjoying the change in the material that gets better with use. It is also recommended as a gift for a wedding gift that starts a new life or as a gift for moving house.

「ラプアの織り手たち」を意味するLAPUAN KANKURIT(ラプアンカンクリ)。
