Flexible: Simple design with no unnecessary embellishments in a clean, solid color fabric. Flexible enough for any style of travel, from airports to city streets to trails. Sustainable: Fabrics are made of recycled nylon and parts are made of Bluesign certified materials, a certification given to products in the textile and apparel industry that have been through a sustainable supply chain from an environmental, labor, and consumer perspective. It ensures that the highest standards for safety and environmental impact are met in their production.

The ReFraction packable sling is perfect for travel, outdoor festivals, and other days when you want to be active. It is just the right size and specifications to carry the minimum amount of valuables and can be used as a body bag slung diagonally or as a waist bag around your waist. There is no pocket inside, but one zippered pocket on the outside for quick access to valuables. The pockets are made of stretchy material, so while the bag itself is compact, it can hold thicker items such as bottles. The Matador brand was launched in 2014 in Boulder, Colorado, USA.

The brand started when founder Chris Clearman saw people sitting in a park in San Francisco with their jackets and thick blankets on the grass, damp with morning dew. Realizing that a compact, packable rug that could be taken anywhere would make it easier to relax, he began making blankets in his garage. He completed a waterproof blanket that could fit in a pocket.

Later, he applied his experience as a product designer to material selection and gimmicks to create his favorite travel and outdoor items, and Matador has grown into a brand of ultra-lightweight travel gear. Chris' experience in travel has made him realize the importance of reliable travel gear, and he is always committed to designing products that will last, with an emphasis on long-lasting durability and testing in the mountains, rivers, and other natural environments of Boulder.
