Gisel B's jewelry is not disposable, but can be repaired and used for a lifetime. We are committed to local manufacturing, and our products are 100% made in France from design to assembly at our workshop in Valence, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region. This is a product that is manufactured in a sustainable manner, helping to preserve traditional local manufacturing techniques.

All the materials used are considerate of the environment and people's lives. In general, the distribution route for jewelry materials is very vague, and even if some of the materials include gold mined by young children who cannot attend school, there are social issues and current situations that are unknown to the users. At Gisel B, we focus on these social issues and only use materials from highly transparent distribution channels.

For example, more than 90% of materials such as metals are sourced from Europe (of which more than 50% is from France). The remaining 10% of the material is equivalent to cultured pearls from Asia, including Japan. We use "recycled 24-karat gold plating," which is made by recovering gold that was originally used as other jewelry from Europe and metal that was once machine parts and bringing it back to life as beautiful jewelry. We are particular about procuring unprocessed pearls from family-run farms, without going through any dealers.

Putting social and environmental responsibility first

Gisel B is a French jewelry brand founded by Clémence Masson. Clemence Masson learned how to sew from her grandmother, who was a seamstress, when she was young, then studied politics at the University of Lille and entered the jewelry industry. She is saddened by the current problems of child labor and environmental destruction in the jewelry industry. Due to this background, Gisel B's main desire since its establishment has been to become an environmentally responsible brand.

Clemence Masson is a member of Maison de Mode, a fashion group that develops textiles and disseminates production techniques to realize sustainable fashion, and pursues manufacturing that is friendly to people and the environment. We donate a portion of our sales to organizations that process and manage waste and organizations that support ecosystems, participating in activities that consider the future of the earth. In 2015, she decided to launch her own jewelry brand, naming it "Gisel B." in honor of her grandmother. We continue to create products with the hope that as many people as possible can wear French-made, environmentally friendly, and high-quality jewelry.
