[Special order] canvas tote bag GABOTTO S designed with the image of a vintage military tool bag. The short handle allows you to carry it as a handbag, or as a shoulder bag, so you can change the way you carry it to match your outfit.

Canvas bags made by craftsmen are durable and can be enjoyed over time, but custom-made ZUTTO bags can be enjoyed even longer. The handle of the standard product is made of canvas, but we have wrapped it in leather (cowhide leather) to improve durability. The vegetable-tanned cowhide, made by a tanner as a brand original, contains plenty of oil, and as you use it, it develops the unique luster and texture of tanned leather, allowing you to enjoy a very flavorful aging experience. This bag prevents the handle from getting dirty, and the more you use it, the more you will become attached to it.

The colors are bright and gorgeous INDIGO and chic BLACK. We selected brown leather for the handle so that it looks good with either color. Furthermore, although you can't see it, the core of the bag's opening is made of 4mm thick cowhide leather. By using tanned leather instead of wire or plastic, the bag retains its shape without becoming stiff at the opening, and it also gives the bag the firmness and familiarity that only natural materials can provide.

The main space of the bag is the part that opens and closes with a zipper. Divided into the main space, there are two spaces at each end, which are suitable for storing small items such as keys and passes. The size allows you to store an A4 sheet of paper with the zipper open, so it can also be used as a casual commuting bag. There is also a hook on the inside that can close the opening, so you can rest assured that your bag won't open all of a sudden even if you put your belongings in the spaces on both ends. The storage capacity is recommended for everything from town use to picnics and outdoor activities. However, it is not too big, so it can be used in a wide range of situations.

The surface is treated with waterproof paraffin, giving it a vintage military feel that looks like it has been used for many years. The handles and shoulders are reinforced with hand-hammered copper punched rivets similar to those used in vintage denim, and the zipper handles are made of cowhide leather that deepens in flavor the more you use it. Without compromising on the selection of materials, they are made with great attention to detail, showing the sincere attitude typical of MARVELETS.

Mr. Shuji Mitsuda, the founder and creator of MARVELETS, was influenced by his mother who was a couture designer and worked as a clothing designer in Paris, France. At that time, he happened to visit the bag factory of his senior designer and was struck by the appeal of leather and the fun of processing, which led to him later starting MARVELETS. Clothes are usually completed through the hands of many people. Bags, on the other hand, have the appeal of being able to be handmade by just one person by dyeing the leather in the desired color. Mr. Mitsuda was fascinated by this, and moved to Okayama Prefecture, where he could devote himself more fully to bag production, and started MARVELETS.

``Things that gain more depth over time'' ``Things that fade and become more attached to them.'' This is Mr. Mitsuda's manufacturing concept. Europeans know that they use things with care for a long time and that their value increases. The bags designed by Mr. Mitsuda, who is influenced by European culture, reflect a unique sensibility that is timeless.

For MARVELETS bags, Mr. Mitsuda undertakes all of the patterning, sewing, dyeing, and finishing, and all important parts are done by hand. In addition, we are particular about natural materials and vegetable tanning, which reveal the power of nature over time, and we combine materials such as linen and wool in addition to leather, and create finishings based on original recipes. The exquisite combination of sensibilities and craftsmanship cultivated over many years creates bags with a unique texture that gives them an antique feel that is unique to MARVELETS.
