A rock glass that seems to capture the majestic and dignified figure of Mt. Fuji. When you pour a drink into it, the mountain surface changes color as if the seasons are changing. The elegant appearance is a perfect embodiment of the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi.
Palm-sized Mt. Fuji
A Mt. Fuji glass with a stable base and ease of use. Each glass is handmade by a craftsman, and the attention to detail of the mountain surface is as close to the real Mt. Fuji as possible. The peak is sandblasted with snow, making it a palm-sized glass with a realistic look.
When you pour whiskey into it, the golden color reflects off the mountain surface, allowing you to enjoy your evening drink with the various expressions of Mt. Fuji. It is also interesting to pour barley tea, cold tea, juice, etc. into it, and it is a glass that can be used as a sake cup or for everyday use.
The Mt. Fuji Glass Rock Glass will be delivered in a paulownia wood box with the Tajima Glass logo. The Mt. Fuji Glass is a well-known lucky charm with its shape that spreads out at the end and its play on words that mean "immortality" and "safety", making it a practical gift that can be chosen for any celebration. Beautiful to display and fun to use, it will be a great gift for a 60th birthday celebration, wedding gift, moving gift, retirement gift, or even a souvenir to take overseas.
Precious craftsmanship that remains
In 1956, the first generation Matsutaro Tajima founded Tajima Glass Works in Edogawa Ward, Tokyo. Initially, it was a glass tableware manufacturing factory that produced tumblers and wine glasses for commercial use. At that time, there were about 50 to 60 handmade glass factories, but due to mass production due to mechanization and aging, the number has decreased dramatically, and now only four remain in Tokyo. Tajima Glass Works is one of them. They are particular about the depth and flavor that can only be achieved through time-consuming handmade work, and express the delicate colors and cut patterns of the glass through hand polishing. Now in its third generation, they manufacture and sell "Edo Glass" and "Edo Kiriko" that have been passed down since the Edo period, and their technical capabilities shine through as they have continued to develop products that suit the times with a wide range of customers.
