Matador is a brand that started in Boulder, Colorado, USA in 2014. The brand was started when founder Chris Clearman saw people sitting in a park in San Francisco with their jackets or thick blankets spread out on the grass wet with morning dew. He thought that if there was a compact, packable mat that you could take anywhere, people would be able to relax more easily, so he started making blankets in his garage at home. He completed a waterproof blanket that fits in your pocket.
