"Less, but better." That is the design concept of BRAUN.
What is good design? A clear answer to such a question that has been asked over and over again. BRAUN products are finished products that embody that answer. They are easy to understand and use, and have a kind of modesty and beauty of form.
Formal beauty that hangs on the wall
A clock hanging on the wall in the living room is the essence of the room. That is why it can be a difficult item to choose. Simple is good, but bland is sad. I chose something natural, but I want to add a little more style. Such worries are common.
The BRAUN wall clock BC26 has a minimalist design with a yellow sweep second hand as an accent on the classic white and black dial of BRAUN. It features a slightly thick body with a three-dimensional windshield.
While maintaining the simple design without any unnecessary parts, the font of the index has been changed from previous clocks, and the placement has been made more blank space to give a cleaner impression. The tips of the hour and minute hands are made of luminous material, making them highly visible at all times. The smart design is suitable for not only living rooms and bedrooms, but also offices and schools. This wall clock is not only suitable for your home, but also as a celebratory gift for moving and other occasions.
Functionalist Design
It began in 1921 when engineer Max Braun built a factory in Frankfurt. It started by manufacturing radio parts, and grew into a radio manufacturing company in 1929.
After the death of founder Max Braun, his son took over and, as he was reviewing the concept and deciding the future direction, he hired Dieter Rams as a designer. When hiring a designer, we started by imagining the type of customer who would use Braun products, and came to the conclusion that they would be intelligent, flexible thinkers, and people who would enjoy unobtrusive products that would give them the freedom to find their own fulfillment.
Rams's designs, which combined a simple, streamlined appearance and easy-to-read design with innovative technology, were selected for Moma's permanent collection in the late 1950s and became recognized around the world as a new standard. A perfected design that has remained beloved since its release could also be called a "functionalist design."
