In the hot summer, sandals are cool and open without getting stuffy, but they can look too rough, so women who wear a variety of clothes such as skirts and pants are unsure of what to wear on their feet. Even if you try your best to wear leather shoes in the middle of summer, they look heavy and you don't want to get stuffy. These sandal-like shoes solve that problem. The knit design wraps around your feet and is breathable, and these mature shoes are not too rough and are close to leather shoes, so they go great with casual outfits. They don't expose your feet as much as Gurkha sandals, so you can wear them with socks and use them in the fall and winter.
Modest skin exposure
Chausser's mesh strap shoes TR-029 are part of the TRAVEL SHOES series, which is well-known for their ease of walking. At first glance they look like Gurkha sandals, but from the back they look like proper leather shoes. These Gurkha sandals are for adults, with a modest skin exposure and elegance.
The buckle-fastened straps have flat elastic bands hidden from view. Since the shoes stretch slightly, once the leather gets used to them, they are easy to put on and also contribute to the fit when worn.
The smooth leather that touches your feet is also very soft, and you can feel that you have broken them in from the very first time you put them on, which is unique to chausser's "TRAVEL SHOES series". The leather is waterproofed and uses a Vibram sole that is highly grippy and does not slip even on rainy days, so even though leather is a material that does not like water, you can wear them at any time and in any place. This is a popular series as a shoe that you can choose without worrying about the weather at your travel destination.
Elegance and reliability
The reason why these shoes are water-resistant despite being leather shoes is because of the leather processing. The fibers are entangled with fluororesin during dyeing to increase their strength and waterproofness, and the surface is also waterproofed to make the leather soft. While repelling water, they allow air to pass through and maintain their breathability.
Furthermore, because it is lightweight and comes with a drawstring bag, it is perfect to take on a trip. You don't need to carry several pairs of shoes in your suitcase, just this one pair will be useful for a wide range of occasions. It will make you feel light-hearted while traveling.
The goal is "Shoes that you will want to wear even 30 years from now"
The brand was launched by designer and owner Yoichi Maeda. Influenced by his father, who was a custom-made shoemaker, he had a dream of making shoes from an early age and was involved in the shoe industry at an early age. After working in various jobs to deliver shoes to people's hands, he became involved in planning and learned shoemaking. After these many experiences, the shoe manufacturer chausser was born. The brand name means "to wear" in French. Based in Tokyo, it is currently available in seven countries around the world. We want to create timeless and universal shoes that people will want to wear when they see chausser shoes in a second-hand store 30 years from now. And we want to make shoes that can be worn for 30 years if they are well cared for. With this in mind, we aim to make shoes that people will want to wear for a long time.
