Thin, thin, and high quality

REN's original leather "APERTO" is a mixed tanned cowhide finished by a tanner in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture. By soaking it in plenty of oil, the fibers become soft and loose, creating an elegant and fine texture. Even when processed thinly, it maintains its high strength, and one of its characteristics is its light and supple finish. You can enjoy the softness, luster, and changes in texture that increase the more you use it. In addition, the lining is made of artificial suede "Bon Saine". This achieves a high-quality texture and lightness, while also being highly elastic, resulting in a leather that is thin but firm and easy to handle.

REN, which has an atelier in Kuramae, Tokyo, is a brand that values a consistent concept, with the designer himself selecting the materials, making the patterns, and making the prototypes. With the intention of creating a new standard, the brand name was launched in 2005 with a clear and transparent sound that is not a pre-existing word. We value the creation of products that allow you to fully enjoy the original texture of leather by finishing without going through the final process of polishing and pigment application, without wasting the material, as scratches, uneven color, and wrinkles are proof of natural leather. While carefully examining the characteristics of the material, we develop simple designs that are not influenced by trends, pursuing textures that match Western clothing and shapes that fit the body. The appeal is in the relaxed fashionability that makes use of the natural feel of leather while also having a modern atmosphere.

Since it is made of natural leather, each piece has a different appearance. At REN, we make bags with scratches, grain, and uneven coloring that occurred when the animal was alive, and we do not discard these as they are part of the leather's individuality. Designers who have worked on famous collection brand bags, launched in 2005 to create the ideal bag with its trained sensitivities. Based on the intention of creating a new standard, the brand name is REN, a clear, transparent sound that is not an established word that expresses a particular commitment or a view of the world. In an atelier in front of the storehouse in Tokyo, the designer performs all of material selection, pattern making and prototype production, and pursues a design that matches clothes while making use of the texture and touch of leather. The concept is "not to be aware of what you have or not to claim existence".
