Knit pants that are loose and relaxed to wear without constricting the body can sometimes look loose and loungewear-like. SHOKAY has just released a pair of knit pants that will overturn that image.
The Polar Jersey Knit Pants are made of a slightly thick and firm fabric that creates a beautiful silhouette. The soft texture and tightly woven knit fabric keep you warm in the winter, so you can enjoy them for a long period of time. The easy pants have an elastic waist and drawstring, so you can wear them comfortably anytime.
Made from warm yak hair
The yak used in the classic knit pants is a type of cattle that lives in harsh environments at altitudes of over 3,000 meters. Although yak hair is not well known in general, its soft hair is a very luxurious fiber, comparable to cashmere. It is a rare material that can only be obtained from 100g of yak wool from one yak, and the higher the altitude, the better the quality of yak wool.
These polar jersey knit pants are made by blending yak wool with cotton. These knit pants are comfortable to wear but not too loose, making them a great piece to coordinate with indoor and outdoor wear. The straight, beautiful silhouette and the casual feel of the knit make it easy to match with any outfit.
For a more elegant style, we recommend wearing it as a set with the Shotton Women's Double Lapel Pullover. It is comfortable to wear but gives a stylish impression. By choosing accessories and shoes according to the occasion, it is a convenient set-up item that can be used in the office or formal settings, making it very convenient for busy women.
Characteristics of Yak
Rare yak wool has the following six characteristics.
1. Thermal insulation: Thermal insulation is 10-15% higher than merino wool.
2. Antibacterial: Yak hair absorbs sweat and evaporates it to the outside, so it is said to be odor-resistant, even in situations where washing is difficult.
3. Breathability: Yak hair has the property of absorbing moisture from the body and releasing it to the outside environment, so there is no sweat odor or sticky feeling that you feel when wearing synthetic fibers.
4. Softness: Yak down, which is obtained from the long, curly hair of the yak, is about 14-20 microns thick and feels great against the skin.
5. Durability: A fiber that is more durable than wool.
6. Resistance to static electricity: It is said that the hair is less susceptible to static electricity than wool or cashmere.
SHOKAY's yak material is made only from the soft down from the yak's chin and belly, so it is very smooth to the touch. Yak is a material that is comfortable to wear all year round, combining high heat retention and breathability. In tests comparing it with wool and cashmere, it has heat retention that is about 30% higher than wool and the same as cashmere. Its breathability is 130% higher than cashmere, and it is less likely to pill. It is also a point that even those who do not like the prickly feeling of wool and have sensitive skin can wear it with confidence.

Livestock yaks that live in remote areas of the Himalayas. Yak has long been valued as a source of livelihood for Tibetans.
