MADE IN USA since its founding

CASWELL-MASSEY began as a pharmacy founded in 1752 in Newport, Rhode Island, USA by Scottish-born pharmacist William Hunter. At the time, Newport was also known as a place to buy European luxury goods, and Hunter sold cosmetics and personal care products in addition to pharmaceuticals. He also imported fragrances from Europe and blended 20 unique colognes numbered 1 to 20. George Washington often purchased number 6, which helped CASWELL-MASSEY fragrances to become popular among politicians and intellectuals of the time.
