The paired rice bowls are recommended for couples and families. They are rice bowls of Kutani ware with traditional Japanese painting called Choju-giga.
For daily use
Choju-giga, literally means Caricatures of Animals and Humans. It is a traditional picture scroll in which animals are drawn lively like humans. It is said that the scroll has been made in the 12th-13th centuries and handed down to Kozanji Temple in Kyoto, Japan. It is frequently described as the first manga of Japan.
The paired rice bowls depict rabbits performing a betting bow. In the original painting, they are drawn with black ink, but TAIZANDO chose color painting as the tradition of Kutani ware. The two rabbits are painted humorous and lovely.
Each bowl has a blue and red line on the edge. They would be perfect for wedding gifts and anniversary gifts.
