The small plates are as small as the palm of your hand. They depict rich nature and landscapes. Each classic pattern expresses a story that makes us feel like being in a museum.
For daily use
Sansui, which means landscape in Japanese, has been a typical pattern in Japanese art. On those paintings, usually, mountains are painted in the background, a boat floating on the waterside, birds flapping toward the mountains, and beautifully shining water surface illuminated by light are depicted. Common plants in Japan, such as pine and plum, are often painted as well. The scenery that was seen every day in old Japan has been favored.
The small plates have a design that makes you feel the charm of the Sansui pattern. Besides, they present the skill of artisans who carefully paint with fine brushes. They are convenient for serving side dishes and as seasoning containers.
