The secret behind the rain despite the leather shoes is the processing of the leather. Soft leather with a waterproof surface is used while increasing strength and waterproofing by tying the fluororesin into the fiber during dyeing. It is perfect for rainy days, with the ability to breathe water while keeping air permeable.

The brand was launched by Yoichi Maeda, designer and owner. Under the influence of his father, who was a custom-made shoemaker, he had a longing for shoemaking since he was a child and has been in the shoe industry since early on. Through various work to deliver shoes to people's hands, he is involved in planning and learning to make shoes. The shoe maker chausser was born out of these numerous experiences. The brand name means “wear” in French. Based in Tokyo, it is currently deployed in seven countries around the world. Thirty years later, when I see chausser shoes at a thrift store, I want to make universal shoes that are unrelated to the times and that I want to wear. And if you care for it, you want to be a “30-year-old shoe”. With that in mind, we aim to create shoes that you will want to wear all the time.
 
Chausser shoes are not made for mass production. Warm and respectable shoes not found in mass-produced products. Even if you leave the hands of the craftsman, the taste will gradually increase with the person who wears it, and it will eventually sublime into a unique existence. That may be the charm of chausser shoes.
