From the past to the present, various things called masterpieces have been born, but as trends are created and things are born more and more, some things disappear and some are universal things that are reconstructed. Under such circumstances, a series has appeared in which PRAS reinterprets the design, details, and story of things that have disappeared once, considering the value again. It is a product unique to PRAS that understands the inner characteristics of Japanese manufacturing that seriously faces the materials.

Feminine sneakers

SW-TRAINER KURO / BLACK is a low-cut sneaker with a slender line that is more feminine than the standard series and has a simple design with almost no seams. The series is named UP-CYCLE Series (creative reuse), and the design source is Swedish military shoes. It is made by a manufacturing method like making shoes from a single piece of leather, and the upper part through which the shoelaces pass is simple and neat.
SW-TRAINER KURO / BLACK is characterized by its smooth toe cap and gives a men's-like atmosphere while being elegant. The design is not too casual and can be worn easily with skirts and clean pants. In addition, by adopting a urethane cup insole with high cushioning properties for the insole, we have realized a comfortable fit that can withstand long-term use.

PRAS (plus) is a brand that has made products made in Japan, but overseas manufacturing started as a new attempt. By sending materials from Japan and making them overseas, new added value is created by combining manufacturing methods, designs and molds that cannot be done in Japan with Japanese materials, which is one of the strengths of PRAS (plus). The factory that is in charge of manufacturing is run by a person who has experience in a factory that uses the Japanese vulcanized manufacturing method. Taking advantage of my experience in Japan, its quality is highly evaluated.
This series also has a seamless design not found in Japan, and it consists of technology for ordering shoes not only in Japan but also in overseas famous brands.

Internal "Japaneseness"

PRAS (plus) has the philosophy of "JAPANISM PRODUCT", which wants to appeal not only the appearance of the product but also the inner part of the product. The inner Japaneseness is considered to be a characteristic of manufacturing that Japanese people have been keeping in mind for a long time, such as "seriously facing materials" and "delicate and honest manufacturing", and this characteristic is disseminated domestically and internationally. However, it was the beginning of the brand that I thought that it would be necessary for Japan in the future to gain sympathy by actually wearing the product.

The vulcanized manufacturing method used in many PRAS sneakers is a manufacturing method in which the sneaker body and sole are bonded together. Put unvulcanized rubber that has not yet hardened between the sneaker body and the sole, put it in a special kettle, and add sulfur and vulcanizing agent while applying high temperature pressure. In this "vulcanization" process, the sole and upper (shoe body) are bonded together, and parts made of different materials such as the canvas body and rubber sole can be integrated. The rubber of sneakers made by the vulcanized manufacturing method over a long period of time has the original property of returning properly even when stretched, bouncing and bending flexibly, and it fits the foot very well and the bottom peels off. It will be a difficult sneaker.

PRAS (plus) focuses on simple sneakers that suit any outfit, not because it is a temporary trend, but because we want to create universal products that will continue for the next 10 years and beyond. While valuing "Japaneseness," we are taking on new challenges without being bound by the past.
