There are several tree species that are familiar with interiors and tableware, such as keyaki and cherry blossoms, but the wooden product made by Kimura Mokuhin Seisakusho, Aomori Prefecture, is a slightly unusual apple tree. It is a wood product that can be produced only in Aomori, where apples are produced, after it has been used up and is normally discarded.
All processes are done by our hands
Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, where Kimura Mokuhin Seisakusho is located, is Japan's number one apple producer. It is an apple tree that brings us delicious grace every year, but when it finished its role, it was disposed of, except for its main use as firewood. Usually, apple trees are grown horizontally rather than vertically so that they are easy to harvest. As a result, many of them are low and meandering, so it is not possible to use long materials that can be used as building materials, and there are many bumps that make machining difficult. Therefore, it was rarely reused for anything other than firewood.
Kimura Wood Products Co., Ltd. (Kimura Moku Hinsei Sakusho) uses its apple trees as a local resource to learn about the unique texture of apple trees and to enjoy them.・It takes time and effort to dry the wood, which is many times longer than ordinary wood, and we started to make products using apple trees, which are made by craftsmen with skilled techniques.
The apples set is a set of tableware and mash spoons for baby food. Red is also said to be the first color recognized by small babies, and red apples are a common motif in picture books and toys, even for babies who are just beginning to eat baby food. Such apple-shaped tableware has a smooth texture and is designed to fit comfortably in the hands of mothers and fathers, and it seems to be warm and calm during baby food, which is often anxious. The mashed spoon has a rounded and thick handle, making it easy for babies who are starting to take their rice to their mouths. Choose a wooden tableware that is cute and warm to look at, for children and grandchildren to celebrate their birth.

Kimura Wood Products Co., Ltd. was established in 1974 in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture. The current president, the great-grandfather, runs a wood processing plant, and the great-grandfather developed a "ladder ladder," a ladder that is a ladder for apple farmers. It has a structure that makes use of the technology used to make joinery in the open space of Aomori, and at that time, it was said that many items were delivered to Shinshu and Hokkaido. Currently, it is not manufactured at Kimura Mokuhin Seisakusho, but from that time on, manufacturing related to apples began.
As we continue to make wooden products in line with the times such as fittings, furniture, store fixtures, we started toy playground equipment 10 years ago and our own brand "CHITOSE" 5 years ago. We want to utilize not only the local cherry trees and Aomori Hiba, but also local trees as logging resources, sawing, and drying from the farm, and we continue to make time-consuming products using apple trees.
