Inheriting Kurashiki tradition

Since the Meiji period, Kurashiki canvas has been woven for generations in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. Kurashiki canvas, which is very strong, heavy and shock resistant, has been used for truck hoods and student bags. Now that the number of domestic canvas production is decreasing, the “Kurashiki Canvas” brand was born to leave traditional fabrics for future generations. We continue to use the shuttle loom, which was discontinued in the Showa 40s, while still taking care of it, and continue to make Kurashiki canvas with a good texture.
