Rikucho Ogasawara was a manufacturer and designer of Nanbu Ironware. Nanbu Ironware has been manufactured for over 400 years in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. It has high durability and works excellently to keep the heat for a long time. Rikucho taught many artisans how to produce the ironware and made great contribution to the cast iron industry in Mizusawa city (currently Okusawa city), Iwate Prefecture. Over 60 years, Rikucho has made various kinds of Nanbu Ironware that work usefully in our daily lives based on traditional skills. The simple and modern design of his products has been highly evaluated.
