TAKAOKA is a factory brand operated by Takaoka Co., Ltd. It was founded in 1919 as a processing factory that makes ready-made futons at department stores in Kyoto.
At that time, futons were generally made to order, just like kimonos, but it will change significantly due to the fashion of Western culture, such as beds and chairs. In such an era, craftsmen first turned to "zabuton" as a product that can utilize technology other than futon. We have expanded the range of products from "bedding" called futons, which we have been making since our founding, to "tools for people to relax", and we continue to make products that suit modern lifestyles by utilizing our technology.
