Denby began in 1809 when clay was discovered during road construction in Derbyshire, central England. Founder William Bourne, who was convinced of the high quality of the clay, established the pottery brand. Initially, it mainly manufactured bottles, but after World War II, it shifted to full-scale manufacturing of tableware. All the products that many mature craftsmen take time and effort to create are durable, versatile and beautiful. Denby has a long history and trust of 200 years. The name is so well known in England that no one knows it, and it continues to create timeless collections.
