ekn is a footwear brand born from a passion for skateboarding culture and sustainability, founded in Frankfurt, Germany in 2015 by founder Noel Klein Liesink. In a footwear industry that has long been filled with synthetic footwear that lacks environmental friendliness, ekn has taken action to minimize its impact on the environment. All products are completely handmade by experienced Portuguese artisans using biological materials and plant-based dyes. It is characterized by a thorough commitment to sustainability, including the elimination of harmful chemicals, limited small-batch production, and the use of recycled materials and cotton in the vegan range. ekn combines skateboarding culture and style while caring about contributing to the environment.
