Influenced by her mother, who is a hat maker and runs a vintage shop, Jennifer Ouellette's unique and classic design sense has led her to create items.
After graduating from the London College of Fashion, the only fashion university in the UK, she worked in London and New York and around the world, before launching her own brand in 1996. She is also very concerned about labor issues in the fashion industry, and in 2009 she opened a second studio in Santiago, Dominican Republic, where she supports the employment of local women through fair trade production.
Jennifer Ouellette's items are made using sustainable natural materials that are considerate of people and the earth, and are made using traditional handmade methods and unique techniques. Their popularity began after they were featured in the world's leading fashion magazines, and they are also popular with celebrities around the world.
