"Weavers of Lapua"
LAPUAN KANKURIT means "Weavers of Lapua". Its history is about 100 years ago. I was born in Lapua, a small town of about 15,000 people in the northwest of Finland. Lapua has long been an area with many small town factories and handicrafts such as woodworking and textiles. It was a time of poverty and lack of resources. At a time when wool and hemp were being made in ordinary households, the founder's great-grandfather, Yuho Annala, started producing felt boots from scrap wood and yarn he spun himself. In 1973, LAPUAN KANKURIT was established as a textile company from a textile factory.
LAPUAN KANKURIT makes wool and linen items such as shawls, blankets, and hot water bottles using high-quality textiles made from high-quality natural materials by skilled staff. Please choose it as an anniversary gift for your loved ones or as a Christmas present.

「ラプアの織り手たち」を意味するLAPUAN KANKURIT(ラプアンカンクリ)。
