From such Iwachu, four colorful teapots (teapots) are now available. By adding beautiful colors to the traditional form and pattern, the teapot has a lovely impression. It is finished in a modern and easy-to-use gem. I hope you can find a teapot with your favorite pattern and color.
Representative of Nambu Tekki
An Iwachu teapot that keeps the temperature of the hot water as it is. The power of iron keeps the water warm, so you can enjoy your tea time slowly. Since the inner surface is enameled, it will not rust even if moisture remains, making it easy to clean.
There are two types of patterns, the “Arale” pattern, which is typical of Nambu Ironware, and the “Chrysanthemum” pattern, which resembles a chrysanthemum flower that spreads out. While preserving the pattern, form and tradition, the teapot with beautiful coloring is a modern and easy-to-use teapot that fits perfectly on the dining table. In addition, this teapot (teapot) is also ideal as a gift, and is recommended as a gift for housewarmings, newlyweds, or as a gift for tea-loving friends. It's also a great gift for Father's Day or Mother's Day.
Traditional crafts that shine with technology
Nambu Ironware, a traditional craft of Iwate Prefecture. It is said that in the middle of the 17th century, the Nambu (Morioka) feudal lord invited a kettle maker from Kyoto to Morioka to make kettles for the tea ceremony. Most of the processes, such as designing, making and assembling the molds, stamping the patterns, and coloring, are all done by hand, and the firing technique used to make the iron kettle has been designated for preservation. Iwachu's products are engraved with the name of Iwachu to guarantee their quality.
Iwachu is also famous as a manufacturer that spread ironware to the European tea market with its colorful ironware making, and the high level of technology is certifiable both in Japan and overseas. We take into account the difference in water quality between Japan and Japan when making materials, and we are a well-known manufacturer that is said to be "Please give me IWACHU", not teapots or pots.
Creating the future of Nambu Tekki
Founded in 1902, a long-established Nambu Tekki maker. Founder Suekichi Iwashimizu's father was a comb craftsman, but Suekichi was fascinated by the charm of Nambu ironware and became an apprentice to a Nambu ironware craftsman.
Iwachu has one of the largest factories in the industry and in Japan, and manufactures a wide variety of products, from tetsubin and ironware that fit in with modern life to handmade Nambu tetsubin that inherits tradition. We have two factories, the Semboku Factory, which manufactures iron kettles, and the Iioka Factory, which manufactures kitchenware. In Semboku, you can see the craftsmanship of the kettle makers up close, and there is also a gallery of products. We are also focusing on handing down Nambu Tekki to future generations.
