Lapero was born from Fukuda Gloves, the oldest glove manufacturer in Japan, founded in 1913, over 100 years ago. Higashikagawa City, Kagawa Prefecture, where Lapero is located, is a major glove production area that has been in business since 1888. They have been producing high-quality gloves, "Kagawa Gloves," with delicate and precise sewing techniques, and have been selecting all kinds of materials from leather and knit to cutting-edge high-performance fibers. Since its founding, Fukuda Gloves has been a manufacturing manufacturer that has been planning and proposing to apparel manufacturers, but in 2009, they launched their first in-house brand, Lapero, in order to spread Kagawa's glove-making techniques to the world.

Lapero is produced in an integrated manner from planning and design to manufacturing, and skilled craftsmen carefully sew each glove. Their technical skills are so high that they received great praise at the Paris Miscellaneous Goods Fair, known for its strict exhibitor screening.

Japanese manufacturing recognized worldwide

And what Lapero's gloves emphasize is "comfort" and "fashionability". They have the technology to sew evenly with a seam allowance of just 2mm, and the intricacy of the pattern, which is adjusted in millimeters to match the elasticity of the fabric, is only possible with skilled techniques. Even overseas glove manufacturers have difficulty finishing the details so that there is no excess fabric on the fingertips when the gloves are worn. The comfort and beauty of the fingertips that result from this are the reasons why Lapero has continued in Japan for 100 years and has been newly recognized overseas. Furthermore, Lapero has gained a reputation in Milan, one of the world's leading glove production centers, and its recognition is steadily expanding, with 15 stores opening.
