Seeking "Usability" in an Apron

The "Linen Cotton Apron with Kitchen Cloth" is packed with ZUTTO's concept of apron usability. Of course, usability varies by person, but we started by reviewing the specifications that most aprons commonly adopt - how apron straps should be, what pockets should look like.

And we arrived at these features:

・Straps that don't strain the neck
Most aprons have straps that hang around the neck, but many people experience headaches from the burden on a single point. We made the straps distribute across both shoulders to reduce strain.
You can also adjust the strap length by tying it yourself, so you won't end up with an apron where the bib part doesn't function. Crossing the straps at the back also prevents them from slipping.

・Pocket at the edge, not the center
Many people might not actually use the apron's pocket much. While some might put a wallet or smartphone in it for a quick errand, most use it only at home. Have you ever experienced the minor stress of the pocket catching on kitchen drawer handles while cooking? To avoid this, we deliberately placed just one pocket on the left side of the waist.

・Comes with a Kitchen cloth
We included a kitchen cloth made of the same fabric as the apron. Instead of hanging it on the apron's waist string, we added a dedicated loop so you can hang your favorite cloth.
It's convenient to have a cloth nearby to wipe hands while cooking, use as a mitt for hot pots, or quickly wipe something - having a kitchen cloth within reach is more useful than you might imagine.

The Best of Cotton and Linen

We chose a cotton-linen blend fabric. It combines linen's durability and quick-drying properties with cotton's stiffness and absorbency, making a material that won't wear out easily even with daily, harsh use.
Tightly woven, it has a crisp, stiff feel that feels refreshing to wear.
