Yonezawa Tadashi, a hand-woven, high-density hand-woven carpet made in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture. When you touch it, you will be surprised at its thickness and fluffy softness. It is a durable and high quality carpet that has been adopted in the Prime Minister's Office. Carpets are large in size and have a strong image of being laid on the floor, but the carpets made by Yonezawa Dantsu Utakizawa Kobo are small in size that suits our daily lives. Items that combine traditional techniques with modern and sophisticated designs fit well in both Japanese and Western spaces, and just one item adds depth to the interior.

A little luxury in your life
Yonezawa Takizawa Kobo creates Yonezawa Dantsu Utakizawa Kobo, which has a structure in which wool pile yarn is entwined with warp yarn, and weft yarn and entangled yarn are formed, so the yarn density is high and the waist is strong. Is a feature. Since it is durable and difficult to remove hair, there is no need for a lining, and various colors and patterns expressed by hand weaving appear on both sides with the same design.
This time, we have prepared the largest rug in Yonezawa Tadashi and Takizawa Kobo as a complete build-to-order manufacturing. The size of the sword, which is about 63 cm x about 45 cm, is the perfect size for a front door mat. With the purpose of "incorporating the carpet into modern life," the compact rug is like a painting on the floor, at the entrance, on the bedside, next to the chest, in front of the dresser. I would like you to arrange them.
There are 4 types of patterns available.
[Capricious lattice red] It looks like a red and black lattice pattern, but if you look closely, the black line on the side is zigzag. Although it is a traditional carpet made by craftsmen, the expression of the lattice reminiscent of digital numbers is a fresh pattern.
[Hana-Mai] A pattern of Japanese bellflowers expressed in bright colors on a gentle pink background. Seeing the flowers as if they were dancing seems to brighten your feelings. Yonezawa Takizawa Kobo has many designs drawn decades ago, and this is one of them.
[Kasanari] A pattern that looks like an abstract painting. It is a simple yet impressive design with two overlapping cloud shapes.
[Flowers] A pattern in which small flowers are lined up. It is a design of the familiar scenery of Yamagata, and the flower that blooms first after winter is drawn, which tells us the arrival of spring. It's not too cute and has a cool image, and it goes well with Scandinavian furniture and Shiraki.
[Uribo] A pattern with triangles reminiscent of Scandinavian textiles. This is also a design of the landscape of Yamagata, and recently, the wild boar children who have begun to ruin the rice fields in Yamagata also draw a mottled pattern of hair like the back of a boar.
* Except for [Hana-Mai], natural wool is used for the ground color of the rug. Since the color is made by blending undyed wool, various colors overlap to give a natural wool texture between gray and beige.
In Japanese life up until now, the concept of rugs and rugs being laid out in the living room or bedroom has given a strong impression that they are hundreds of thousands, sometimes millions, of luxury items. As lifestyles have diversified, the rugs of Yonezawa and Takizawa have changed from rugs and rugs that can be enjoyed in large living rooms and bedrooms to rugs and rugs that suit a compact living environment. You can easily move around when changing the room, and it's fun to imagine how to use it freely.
A "small carpet" that suits your current life
Yonezawa Takizawa Kobo is a high-density hand-woven carpet founded in Yonezawa City, south of Yamagata Prefecture. Yonezawa is the northernmost textile producing area in Japan, and is now a comprehensive producing area for natural fibers and chemical fibers. It has been famous as a production center of silk fabrics since the time of the Yonezawa domain, and the fabric called "Yonezawa Ori" was of high quality and was exported overseas.
Takizawa Kobo started with the assembly and maintenance of silk looms. At that time, the production of carpets had not yet begun, but when I saw my relatives hand-weaving carpets, I thought, "It seems that it will be easier to weave depending on the weaving machine," and I started researching carpet looms. After trial and error, we devised a hand-woven loom that is easy to weave, and from 1966, we started our own hand-woven carpet business. The high technology of devising and creating a loom by themselves every time a difficult weaving or a large carpet order was received was recognized, and the carpet produced was delivered to the Prime Minister's Office and the Nissay Theater. Most of the carpets are large in size, but based on the idea of "I want to make a carpet that suits my current life," I am aiming to become a modern carpet brand with the keyword "small carpet."

Yonezawa-Dantsu / Takizawa-Kobo was founded in Yonezawa City, south of Yamagata Prefecture, and is a workshop of “Dongdun”, a high-density hand-woven carpet.
This area has been famous for silk fabrics since the time of the Yonezawa clan, and Takizawa Kobo began its business with the assembly and maintenance of silk fabric looms. Every time a difficult weaving or large carpet order is received, the high technology of inventing and creating a loom on its own is recognized, and it is delivered to the prime minister's official residence during the period of high economic growth. In the past, large carpets were the mainstream, but based on the idea of “making carpets that fit the current lifestyle”, we started making new carpets with the keyword “small carpets”. It is a valuable workshop that can consistently manufacture, sell and maintain carpets.
