Fried pan 16

Also for making miso soup

Thick casting pots are easy to keep the temperature, so they are perfect for deep-fried foods where the temperature is important. A cooking utensil made by a historic Nanbu Tekki maker that suits modern life.

Easy iron supply

The deliciousness of freshly fried crispy dishes is tempura and fried chicken, which everyone loves to line up on the table.
The fried food 16 (with a wooden handle) to be introduced is a small pot, which is just the right size, and because it is tall, it is also considered that oil splashes are a concern, so it is useful for making fried food for 1 or 2 people To do. Since the amount of oil used is large, it is a pot that can be cooked efficiently with as little waste as possible for those who are concerned about the subsequent processing of oil. It is also convenient for making miso soup. If you add soup, it will rust easily, so after making it, transfer it to a container as soon as possible and wash it with a scrubbing brush to remove water.

Frying pans and pots made of castings have high heat retention and are less likely to cause uneven temperature, so they bring out the umami of the ingredients to the maximum. It also helps to replenish iron, which tends to be in short supply, so I'm happy from a health perspective. It is necessary to break in the oil at the beginning of use, but as you continue to use it, the oil will not soak or burn, so it will become easier to use and you will want to continue using it carefully. It is also recommended as a gift for those who have started living alone for a new life, and as a birthday gift for those who like cooking.

Technology shines, traditional crafts

Iwate Prefecture's traditional craft "Nanbu Tekki". It is said that in the middle of the 17th century, the feudal lord of the southern part (Morioka) invited a kettle master from Kyoto to Morioka to make a tea ceremony kettle. Most of the processes from design, mold making and assembly to pattern printing and coloring are done by hand, and the firing technique for making iron kettles has also been designated for preservation. Iwachu products are engraved with the name of rock casting to ensure their quality.

Iwachu is also famous as a manufacturer that has expanded ironware to the European tea market by making colorful ironware, and its high technology is with origami paper both in Japan and overseas. We make materials in consideration of the difference in water quality from Japan, and it is a well-known manufacturer overseas so that people say "IWACHU please" instead of kyusu or pots.

Creating the future of Nanbu Tekki

Founded in 1902, a long-established manufacturer of Nanbu ironware. The father of the founder, Sueyoshi Iwashimizu, was a comb craftsman, but Sueyoshi, who was attracted to the charm of Nanbu Tekki, became a disciple of the Nanbu Tekki craftsman and founded in the city after four years of training.

Iwachu has one of the largest factories in the industry and in Japan, and manufactures a wide range of products, from iron kettles and iron kettles that are familiar to modern life to handmade Nanbu iron kettles that carry on the tradition. We have two factories, the Senboku factory that manufactures iron kettles and the Iioka factory that manufactures kitchenware, and Iwate has the only integrated production system from design to sales. In Senboku, you can see the craftsmanship of the pot masters up close, and there is also a gallery with products. We are also focusing on passing on Nanbu Tekki to posterity.
