Lyng by Porcelaen was founded in 1936 as a porcelain maker in Conges Lunview, Copenhagen. In the early 1930s, when the import of cheap German porcelain was almost stopped, the factory was set up in-house, and it was a simple design that eliminated unnecessary decorations created from the rational and functionalist ideas of the Bauhaus movement. Strongly influenced by the idea that functional things are beautiful, the design incorporates the idea of ​​simplicity and functionality and made a fresh impression on many people. They still carry on the beliefs of the time, combining traditional craftsmanship with advanced production technology under the brand concept of "pure functional beauty" and inheriting the faithful reproduction and DNA of past archives.
