MANTERO is a long-established Italian textile manufacturer with a long history in Como, a silk-producing region with a beautiful water source. The scarves, which express a gorgeous worldview with beautiful dyeing, are masterpieces that will impress you at every moment, whether you see them with your eyes, touch them with your hands, or wear them. Scarves are one of the fashion accessories that can be used all year round, but they are also practical fashion items when used during chilly seasons.
For those who are not used to using scarves, some are concerned about how to fold and wrap them, but in places where scarves are used to wearing them, such as France, they are used casually and without hesitation, so we hope you will use them more casually and experience their practical value. In patterns that use multiple colors, scarves are convenient fashion accessories that allow you to change the color you see when tied by changing which of the four corners you make into a triangle or the width of the fold. You can make them look bigger or smaller depending on how you fold them, and you can match them with a variety of tops.
For example, if you wear a large scarf, make a triangle and drape it over your shoulders and put on a coat, the scarf pattern will be casually visible from the collar or the unbuttoned coat, and it will be an accent like the half-collar of a kimono. And yet, there is a difference in warmth between having it and not having it. Before thoroughly learning how to wrap and fold it, I think using it is the first step to getting to know the item and using it regularly. If you come across a scarf that you want to incorporate without thinking too hard about it, try wrapping it in various ways to become familiar with the scarf.
Enjoy the rich colors
A silk scarf that is excellent at absorbing and releasing moisture, cool in the summer and warm in the winter. In addition to its functionality, the beautiful colors and the technology to express patterns that look like paintings are unique to MANTERO.
The MANTERO Silk Scarf (68 x 68) is a large size that becomes a focal point just by wrapping it around your neck, and can be used in various ways, such as wrapping it around a bag or using it as a hairband. The motif is a bright color pattern that gives a sense of the season, and the colors used are designed to brighten the area around the face and brighten the mood. The impressive pattern when unfolded blends in naturally when folded and wrapped, making it the perfect accent color.
We have a selection of motifs that will make you feel bright and festive. Silk scarves with patterns that can be finished in a festive and impressive way in any season are also recommended for fashion around the neck, UV protection, and cold protection. Choose them as birthday gifts or Mother's Day gifts for loved ones.
Background of Ability
In 1902, founder Riccardo Mantero opened a small shop selling silk products in Como, a silk producing area. This is the beginning of MANTERO, one of the oldest necktie and scarf manufacturers in Italy. With the abundant water resources of Lake Como in Italy as a backdrop, the quality of the products is renowned, and the company has the experience and history of working on almost all of the prints and scarves for Europe's big fashion houses.
MANTERO, which has a history of over 100 years, has an archive of scarves from the collections of maison brands in Paris and Milan, and its silk dyeing technology is world-class. It is like a museum where many fashion designers visit the MANTERO factory to learn about its history. The company produces everything from yarn to weaving to the finished product, with visual inspection at each stage and strict quality control, in a clean environment that is hard to believe is a textile factory. MANTERO, which has more than 100 designers and about 300 employees and is an industry that supports the Como area, contributes to society through employment activities and also produces scarves for global maison brands in its large factories.
To date, they have designed more than 60,000 scarves. While silk screen printing generally can produce 12 colors, MANTERO's scarves have a technology that can handle up to 36 colors, and a beautiful finish that makes it hard to tell the back side is the back side. The edges are of a moderate thickness and are done by hand, stitch by stitch, so there is little risk of fraying, which is an indication of MANTERO's commitment to high quality.
