Since its founding, kontex has used natural water from the Shikoku mountain range at an altitude of 2,000m for manufacturing, and used naturally extracted orange oil and pure vegetable soap for cleaning products, using a high-quality water source. We create products that take advantage of this. The factory uses traditional shuttle looms and the once famous TOYOTA looms, which can weave towels about one-third as fast as modern machines. This allows the yarn to be woven slowly without putting stress on the threads, preserving the original softness and unique texture of cotton.
