Shallow Pot 24cm

Enjoy it hot

Now I'm at home, I can buy ingredients from all over the country, and I can cook like a restaurant. Even so, the food we bring to the table every day starts with "what to eat today", and it takes time to procure ingredients, cook, clean up, and surround the table.
Also, since it's everyday, there are days when I want to try something unusual, and there are days when I want to have a little fun today. Shallow Pot is a PETARI flat pot that allows you to spend time cooking, reduce the amount of washing, prepare and put in, then finish other household chores while baking, or take a break with tea. ..
Introducing a reliable cooking pot and bowl that you can use every day especially in the cold season, where you can surround warm dishes with a warm table.

Minimal design, high functionality

Shallow Pot is a flat pot that expands the range of dishes such as steaming, simmering, and stir-frying. The shape of the Shallow Pot is beautiful without a handle, and the nuanced color is eye-catching. There are five main characteristics of the Shallow Pot.

"Pot that can also be used as a bowl" ... After using it as a pot, go to the table as it is. It saves time and saves you the trouble of washing and serving.
"Functionality as a clay pot"... Excellent heat storage and good at residual heat cooking. Bring out the taste with a gentle fire street.
"Highly airtight design" ... Molding technology by skilled craftsmen tightly seals the rim of the body and lid. Do not miss the taste of the ingredients.
"Wide range of compatible equipment"... Microwave oven and oven cooking are also supported. Not only on the stove, but also the range of cooking is expanded.
"Stackable lid, space-saving storage" ... Designed to store the pot lid upside down. Since it is a flat pot, it saves space.

PETARI's Shallow Pot is inspired by a dish called "porcelain plate dishes" in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture, which is cooked using ceramic plates. Made of heat-resistant soil and glaze that was originally developed, the lead-free and body-friendly frit processing (coating) applied to the inner surface of the body has a rough surface with less scorching and less bubbles when boiling. By doing so, it also helps prevent boiling.

From cooked rice that seems to be a clay pot, to stewed dishes that use preheated cooking, gratin that is baked in the oven, and a shallow design that can be used like a rice stand for chirashizushi. Also useful for making sweets. This 24 cm is the recommended size for cooking for 1 or 2 people. A slightly larger 30 cm is also available. With a timeless design, Shallow Pot is a great choice for wedding gifts and birthday gifts for those who like cooking. It casually complements your usual dishes.

Expressing the colors of Mie Prefecture

Mie Prefecture is blessed with abundant nature such as the sea and mountains, and is thriving in agriculture and fishing. Due to its close proximity to the sea, it is rich in various resources. The color used for PETARI is an original color developed by a clay pot maker that has been made there for about 90 years with the motif of the rock color of Mie Prefecture.

- Mudstone: Soft gray. Land-source clastic rocks such as volcanic materials and mudstone are distributed in the Suzuka Mountains, which is located in the northern part of the prefecture. We aimed for a mysterious color like that moist deep sea.

- Igneous rock: Beige like cream. The motif is the color and texture of igneous rocks produced by the giant caldera volcanic activity of about 15 million years ago found in the Higashi Kishu region. It is difficult to reproduce the deep hues that are layered on top of each other, and it is a color that has been repeatedly prototyped.

Original commitment to raw materials and glaze

Manufactured by Ginmine Pottery Co., Ltd., a long-established manufacturer founded in 1932. Boasting a high market share of 80% of domestic clay pot manufacturing, we carry out integrated production at our own factory from selection of raw materials to soil making, glaze preparation, molding, glaze, and baking in a kiln. Uses high-quality petalite with high heat resistance, selected from raw materials from all over the world. We specially request a mine in Zimbabwe to import the beneficiation, mix the raw materials with a special composition, and make soil. For the glaze, we chose the lead-free frit that was originally developed for PETARI. No lead or cadmium is used, and it achieves higher heat resistance, heat storage, durability, resistance to odor and dirt, and ease of maintenance. The processing is also finished by hand one by one. Power (roller machine) and pressure casting are used for molding. It has a shape that does not easily chip, and is robust enough to withstand hard use in restaurants for 20 years.

PETARI's Shallow Pot, where you can feel the story of Mie Prefecture from its shape and color. It is a cooking utensil that connects the dining table and kitchen and realizes a seamless meal time.

Feature of Product

  • - A flat pot made with the motif of a ceramic plate in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture. You can also use it as a vessel.
    - It is highly airtight and has excellent heat storage.
    - Made by a long-established manufacturer of clay pots, using original soil and glaze. The color is based on the characteristics of Mie prefecture.
    - Since the craftsmen manually apply the glaze that was originally developed, unevenness may occur due to the difference in the thickness of the glaze. Please enjoy it as a unique handmade item.

Before use

  • - Please use after lightly washing with a sponge soaked in a neutral detergent.
    - Since the glaze has low water absorption, no sealing is required.
    - When you first start using it, avoid cooking that is easily burnt, and it will be less likely to smell or get dirty.

How to use

  • 1. Preheat firmly:
After preheating on high heat, add oil and let it blend in, and when smoke comes out, add ingredients.

    2. Turn off the heat for dishes that are easy to burn:
After preheating, turn off the heat and add the ingredients. After that, reduce the heat to low and cook.

About handling

  • - After washing, wipe off the moisture quickly, place the bottom side up in a well-ventilated place, and dry it thoroughly. In addition, please avoid soaking and washing.
    - Please do not use it as a fried food pot.
    - Please use a potholder when carrying it, and use a potholder when placing it on the table.
    - Due to its high airtightness, the lid and body may stick to each other during cooking. In that case, reheat with gas until low heat or steam comes out in a microwave oven or oven, and remove while turning the lid.
    - When you put it in the freezer, thaw it before putting it on the fire.

If it gets burnt

  • 1. Add 1 tablespoon baking soda to 1 cup of water.
    2. Boil over low heat and heat for about 10 minutes after boiling.
    3. Turn off the heat and let it cool.
    4. When it cools, do not throw away the water inside, but wash the inside of the pot with a neutral detergent and sponge.
If it does not come off at once, repeat the above process.

If it is lightly charred, soak it in water or hot water for a while to make it easier to remove. Also, due to the water absorption of the clay pot, baking soda may be absorbed from the pot skin and white powder may float, but this is not a problem in use.

ブランド紹介

PETARI

PETARI

In 1932, the first Kumamoto Sutematsu, a wholesaler of ceramics, founded Manko Shinko Kiln Co., Ltd. with the aim of "manufacturing with high quality". We mainly manufactured tableware, clay pots, vases, etc. After that, the company name was changed to Ginmine Pottery Co., Ltd., hoping that it would last like the icecap that remains on the summit. In addition, the second generation, Tetsuzo Kumamoto, developed "Hana Mishima" by incorporating the Mishima technique, which was only available in luxury products. It was widely distributed until it was called the standard clay pot. PETARI began when a manufacturer who specializes in making clay pots that match the times and occupies 80% of the domestic market share made them as clay pots that can be used on everyday dining tables with the motif of ceramic plates that are familiar in Yokkaichi.
The flat pot, which can be used comfortably in the kitchen or at the table, is a cooking utensil that makes daily cooking easy, fun, and delicious. It is a brand with a new perspective that seamlessly connects the kitchen and dining table against the backdrop of historic manufacturing.
